Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and self-motivated WordPress Full Stack Developer who can independently handle both frontend and backend development. You’ll be working on custom WordPress themes, plugins, WooCommerce integrations, and occasionally multisite or headless setups.The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, understands core WordPress architecture deeply, and can collaborate effectively with designers, PMs, and QA teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratchConvert Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD designs into responsive, accessible websites.Work with ACF, Gutenberg, Elementor, and other page builders as required.Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing WordPress codebases.Write clean, reusable, well-documented code.Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility across devices.Collaborate with QA to ensure pixel-perfect delivery and WCAG/ADA compliance where needed.Implement performance optimization techniques (caching, lazy loading, asset minification).Work with Git repositories and deployment pipelines.Communicate effectively with PMs and report blockers, risks, and delays proactively.Must-Have Skills & Experience3+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development (themes + plugins).Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.Experience with Gutenberg block development or advanced ACF setups.Comfortable with WP_Query, hooks/filters, custom post types, and taxonomies.Proficiency in Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools.Familiarity with performance optimization and security best practices.Understanding of basic SEO, Core Web Vitals, and page speed performanceAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervisionBonus Skills (Good-to-Have)Experience with WooCommerce customizations and subscriptionsKnowledge of headless WordPress using REST API or GraphQLFamiliarity with frontend frameworks (React, Vue) is a plusExperience with Docker, NGINX, and server-side configurationExposure to AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot or CursorExperience in a white-label or agency setupKPIs (Success Metrics)Code quality and peer review feedbackOn-time delivery and sprint velocityBug count and QA feedback loopsReusability and documentation of components/modules
