Key job responsibilities
- Drive opportunity pipeline with strategic technology and consulting partners for Public Sector accounts (Government, State-Owned Companies, Education, Healthcare), and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction
- Drive incremental revenue through highly-leveraged sales engagements that employ Partner Sales staff to achieve sales goals
- Own Partner sales revenue, trends, opportunity registration, and business reviews to manage progress against business plans and core KPIs
- Demonstrate ability to develop initiatives that drive the creation of opportunities with Partner's field sales organization and accelerate opportunities to a successful business outcome
- Understand and exploit the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems
- Take smart risks and establish priorities across a complex business model
- Effectively communicate, teach, and tailor detailed knowledge to all levels of audiences, and through established relationships, foster constructive dialogue, harmonize conflicting views, and lead the resolution of issues
A day in the life
The PSM is an essential contributor to the Partner sales motion, advising on aspects related to Partner engagement and solution development. Serving as an integral stakeholder, like an account executive, the PSM participates in Partner sales team meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and provides input into Monthly Business Reviews. PSMs collaborate to help build comprehensive Partner plans that drive incremental opportunities.About the team

The Public Sector Partner Sales team expands customer cloud adoption by selling solutions through Partners to the Public Sector segment (Government, State-Owned Companies, Education, Healthcare). They achieve this goal by working with Partner Sales Teams in Areas and the AWS Partner Organization.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 10+ years of experience building and executing complex initiatives in a business or government environment in Colombia & Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
- Highly effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- 5+ years working with international markets
- Bachelor's degree.
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish is required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- MBA
- Deep knowledge of international government technology policy trends and priorities.
- Strong, quantifiable experience in international Partner led sales and engagements
- International business or public policy experience.
- Experience working with or selling to government, education or non-profit institutions.
- Self-starter with proven track record of working effectively across large organizations and different cultures.
- Solid understanding of Cloud computing technology with demonstrated ability to apply new technologies, models, and frameworks to solve business problems.
- Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills.
- Ability to influence, negotiate with, and persuade others. Sound judgment and political acumen. Demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at highest corporate and political levels.
