We are committed to providing efficient and reliable transportation services to our clients worldwide. As part of our expansion, we seek a skilled Import Ocean Coordinator to join our team.Summary of Position:The Import Ocean Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of ocean freight imports, ensuring smooth and timely movement of goods from origin to destination. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of import regulations and procedures.FocusThe trade lanes experience must be from Origin China and Southeast Asia to various parts of the world... to USA would be ideal.Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage import shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Liaise with carriers, vendors, and agents to secure timely vessel bookings and negotiate competitive freight rates.
Prepare and process import documentation, including bills of lading, customs clearance documents, and import permits.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on shipment status, delays, and any issues that may arise.
Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance of imported goods.
Monitor shipment milestones and proactively address any potential delays or disruptions to minimize the impact on delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all import shipments, ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Assist with resolving any shipping-related discrepancies or claims, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with changes in import regulations, trade compliance requirements, and industry trends to ensure adherence to best practices.
Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives within the import department.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in import ocean freight coordination within the freight forwarding industry.
Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and INCO terms.
Proficiency in using industry-specific software and tools, such as freight management systems and electronic data interchange platforms.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a collaborative attitude and a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
