The Human Resources Management and Organizational Development Intern will work directly with the HRM Team with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee benefits, data analytics and organizational development initiatives. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the interns will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. They will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources and Organizational Development in a global company, and be better prepared to work in the arena of HR and OD. The candidates will also have opportunities to network with the engineering, finance, and supply chain staff.This role will be on a part-time basis at 20 hours/week, with a flexible start and end time to accommodate your class schedule. Our business hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday - Friday and you are allowed to work remotely one (1) day a week.Responsibilities:Participate in weekly and monthly reporting activities to include preparation of reports to support Open Positions and Hires and Data AnalysisAssist with the standardization and optimization of human resources shared services processes across all US and Canadian entities,Liaise between GEA’s outsourced Shared Services teams and internal and external business partners, including recruiters, hiring managers and applicants,Research and root cause process breakdowns, identifying points of failure, recommending improvements and continually contributing to operational improvement the department.Reduce waste by automating repetitive tasks through the use of available systems of Office tools,Complete ad hoc analysis of key business, recruiting and organizational activities.Assist with data gathering and analysis for strategic initiatives.Other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEYour Profile / QualificationsQualifications:In pursuit of or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Organizational Development.Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.Previous work experience, such as an undergraduate internship, in a business environment, perferably in an human resources or organizational development demonstrating an ability to learn on the job, work independently, prioritze work and meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills as well as solid written and verbal communication skills will be critical to success in these roles.Resilient in a fast-paced, changing environment.Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet applications.Knowledge of HR operational cycles, strong knowledge of data analytics, a plusExperience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), analytical and collaboration tools, a plusThe typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $21.00 - $26.00 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
